Foreign Cinema provides distinctive private dining spaces for up to 350 guests, ranging from intimately sized hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, to large, formal seated events. Our chefs personalize each menu, matching sustainable, seasonal and market availability with guests’ special preferences and Foreign Cinema’s exceptional style of California/Mediterranean cuisine.

Modernism West Gallery

Foreign Cinema, in partnership with acclaimed international art dealer Martin Muller of Modernism Inc. in San Francisco present Modernism West, the exclusive, one-of –a-kind private dining gallery, including evolving, curated international artwork, a modern sound audio/visual system, built-in bar, 18 foot high ceilings, skylights, and a wall of windows featuring an electronic shade system.

Mezzanine

Capacity: 40 seated, 50 standing
Approx. Size: 400 sq. ft.

Overlooking the main dining room below, this theatrical grand balcony space offers guests the opportunity to share the energy and ambiance of Foreign Cinema with exposed beams, concrete walls and wood floors in a semi-private setting. The Mezzanine can also be combined with the adjacent film projection area and Director’s Table for enhanced socializing.

Director’s Table

The Director’s Table is the perfect location for a semi-private, unparalleled dining experience. Guests delight in the hum of flickering vintage 35mm film projector nearby and an unobstructed view of our nightly featured film and enchanted fairy lit courtyard below.

Entire Restaurant

Capacity: 170 seated, 350 standing
Approx. Size: 5000 sq. ft.

Larger groups relish in complete privacy throughout entire restaurant with a buyout closed to the general public. Buyouts include each space listed above, as well as our acclaimed outdoor, heated courtyard and main dining room with fireplace and full bar. Buyouts also include use of our restored vintage “drive-in” quality projection system with use of 35mm, BluRay or DVD to view anything from custom presentations to full-length feature films.

Laszlo

Capacity: 60 standing reception/100 for drinks only (Laszlo Buyout)
Approx. Size: 700 sq. ft.

Escape into Laszlo, a full-service DJ bar with second level lounge, advanced sound system, clerestory windows, sidewalk seating, private custom built banquettes, and a vast vinyl collection. For complete buyouts, together, or separate from Foreign Cinema, Laszlo is also the ideal setting for happy hour gatherings or for cocktails after supper. The upstairs salon and custom leather modular lounge seating is ideal for intimate celebrations, either as a complete, semi-private VIP space within the bar, or for table reservations with bottle service.
